Summer Vacation

Our family summer vacation is booked!! So excited to take some time away from all the hassle. We decided to head farther up North this year. Our destination ... Brainerd!

The resort we choose is located on beautiful Bay Lake, a 2,435 acre lake of bays, points and islands, that is one of the top bass fishing lakes in Minnesota. With that being said, we just might take up fishing this year :)

They have 20, 1-4 bedroom old rustic, knotty pine cabins; all fully equipped kitchens, including microwaves and cable TV! All cabins have decks with picnic tables and Weber grills. The kids are spoiled with playground equipment, ping pong, horseshoes, tetherball and basketball, as well as bonfire pits on the beach; perfect for roasting hot dogs and s'mores!

The beach area is enclosed by a U-shaped dock, with a gradual slop and no drop-off. They rent out by the day/hour; boats, canoes, paddleboats and pontoons. With its many bays, Bay Lake is safe on the windiest of days.

Jacob is sure excited to go see the "ocean!" We were looking though pictures from last years trip and his eyes opened wide when he saw himself building sandcastles in the sand.
