Our Weekend - Montevideo

We finally got our chance to make a weekend trip to see my parents. Our weekend consisted of eating and more eating. I swear, my mom thinks we need to eat a full course meal every 4 hours. My week long diet got thrown out the window once we walked through my parents door. She definitely hasn't lost her cooking touch.

Friday night we ate beef tips in gravy over mashed potatoes. Then to start out the morning on Saturday, mom made her famous pancakes, eggs and bacon. With so much food at this point, I actually took a little nap afterwards. For coffee, we had my aunt Janet and along with cousins, Joy and Jodi over. Each one came barring gifts of food. You would think we were serving an Army. Us Moe's and food always go hand n hand. After our family left, mom started in on making supper right away and soon after it was ready, dad and Kendall got home from their trip to the local pub aka VFW.

We headed out by lunch yesterday and stopped at Ashley's in Spicer on our way home. We haven't seen one another since Christmas with our busy schedules, sickness and weather. Little Keean is so darn cute. Walking around with a train in each hand and saying "huh" or "choo choo." Ashley is looking and feeling good. She's on her last leg of pregnancy. Due at the beginning of April. Can't wait to welcome baby boy Hanson into this world.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Valentine's day last week. We ended up going out for supper at a local cafe. I stayed with my usual wrap and Jake with his spaghetti, but Kendall ventured out and tried the prime rib. We had a good evening out. Jake was so excited to go through his Valentine's from all of his friends at school and daycare.
