Our Weekend - Moe/Ruether Reunion

Over the weekend, we had a "Moe/Ruether" reunion back in Monte and what a fun time it was.

Saturday morning when my brother and SIL Kim came into town, we had a small birthday celebration for the "August" birthdays ---- Jacob will be 5 on the 6th, Jon will be 39 on the 11th and Michael will be 13 on the 26th. Jacob was showered with lots of super hero toys, preschool learning material and money for his piggy bank.

My aunt Debbie and sister Kim came up with the idea we (Moe's) meet down at the railroad station for a group family photo before the reunion started at 4pm. The station has been apart of our family for many years with my grandpa Mons and his brother Al being engineers along with uncle Blackie, uncle John, uncle Tom, cousin Ron working along side them. The last family photo of all of us was at my sister's wedding back in 1997. Our family has since grown from then. I think we counted around 50 that could make it for the picture/reunion. Can't wait to see how the pictures turned out.

The reunion was held at the Legion and each family was to bring a dish to pass. Believe me there was enough food for a whole Army. A dj started at 8pm and played until midnight. It was so much fun hanging out with my siblings and cousins. Many laughs, many stories, and many memories were made. Once the reunion was over with a few of us went "downtown" for a drink. Its been years since I stepped foot in a downtown bar. Actually ran into a few people I haven't seen for many years. It was fun catching up. We hung out in the "garage" for awhile once we got back to my parents. A huge thanks to my wonderful hubby for being on Jacob dutie so I could spend time with my family.

Yesterday morning of course mom went all out with breakfast. She loves feeding her babies. We filled our stomachs, packed up and headed for home. We made a pit stop in Spicer to pick up a couple things at Ashley/Trevor's. Little Keean has been 2 weeks free from being tube fed. He's doing great. They are hoping at his next GI appointment they may get the tube removed.

Looking forward to the work week to be over with so we can enjoy our week vacation up north starting on Saturday!! 7 days of relaxation and no time restraints.
