Our Weekend - Family Pictures & Benefit

We finally got around to getting our pictures taken this weekend. We had the same lady who took Jake's 3 year pictures. She suggested we meet in Monticello at a sitting park. The color of the leaves were BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to see how they all turned out. We took a few of us together and a few of Jake by himself for his 4 year pictures. Thank God the weather held out. It rained on our way there but stopped minutes before arriving at the park.

After pictures, we met up with my sister so Michael could join us for a trip to Spicer. Mason had a football game that afternoon and Michael wanted to come with. Mason's game started at 3 and got done an hour later. We hung out afterwards at Ashley/Trevor's before going out for supper with the kids and Barb (Trevor's mom).

Sunday morning, we were up and going by 9. We decided to have Chasity come over and take our big family pictures since we all were there. I can't wait to see them too. Jake had a little melt down before pictures, but with the help from Adrien, aka the kid whisper, he was all smiles and we got some really good shots. Thanks Adrien!

Around 10:30am, we headed to the Legion for Keean's benefit being held from 11am to 4pm. What a great turn out! Ashley's girlfriends did a wonderful job at putting together the whole thing. They had lunch {pulled pork sandwiches, variety of homemade salads, chips, baked beans, pickles and lemonade ... all for $7.00 adults & $5.00 for children over 5} and a silent auction with around 100 donated items all of which were bid on and sold. I'm sure the money raised is just the tip of what is to come, but what a wonderful feeling of knowing hundreds of people love and care for you and your little boy.

Hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather again! This week, its work and school for us. And this weekend a trip back to Monte to celebrate my dad's birthday and retirement :)
