Jake's first week of going to school went well. I made up a calender for him to keep track of when he goes to school. It's hard to explain to a 4 year old .. tomorrow, next day, one more sleep. Here he can see on the days I marked "S", he will go to school and the rest, he will go to daycare. So far it seems to help him understand where the heck he's going from day to day.
On Saturday, I joined my sister down in Minneapolis to watch my oldest nephew, Michael graduate to black belt. What a outstanding young man he has become. It was such a honor to be there watching him accomplish such achievements at the ripe age of 12. It took a lot of hours and dedication to get this far. Yes, the cost is high, but the lessons learned will carry with him for the rest of his life. Good Job Michael! We are so proud of you!!
Yesterday we made a trip to Spicer to help Mason celebrate his 12th birthday. It felt great getting together again at their house. Having all the kids under one roof has never felt better. Between the trampoline, go cart, dirt bike and the room to play, it kept all the kids entertained even some of the adult men. Mason made a killing on his birthday card ... lots of money just burning in his pocket. Baby Keean is doing awesome too. They have his weekly trip to see the GI doctor tomorrow at Children's. Pray for more weight gain! And their still waiting on results from one of the tests. Say another prayer that comes back negative! He's so precious and loves to tell you stories.
We hung out at Ashley's until about 4 and then headed for home. I had loads of laundry to do and organize for this upcoming week. Hope you all had a great weekend! Enjoy your week.
