Kendall had his annual golf trip over the weekend down in Iowa. He said even with the crappy weather they were able to golf 18 holes on Friday and 36 holes on Saturday. They normally golf another 18 on Sunday but Mother Nature wasn't having it so they packed up and headed for home. And I thank her because Kendall's back cannot take all that golfing in one setting. He did say if they would have stayed golfing on Sunday, he would have not golfed but rode along to watch.
While Kendall was away, Jake and I made a trip to Spicer on Friday night after work/daycare. My best friend DeLisa asked both Ashley and I to be her daughter Giselle's sponsors for baptism on Saturday morning. It was a private service with sponsors and grandparents. DeLisa's husband Eric and son Gradyn also got baptised. After the service, we gathered at DeLisa/Eric's to help celebrate. I am honored to be apart of one's upbringing. She is a special little girl. And how special to share such a special day with her dad and brother.
Sad but funny story ....
Giselle (6 years old) when not in preschool during the week, she is watched by her grandma Pat. This past week they were talking about the upcoming Baptisms and Pat explained the meaning of Baptism to Giselle. During Baptism, Giselle cried before, during and after and we all wondered why she was so emotional. Comed to find out during grandma Pat's explanation, she mentioned when a person is Baptised they go to Heaven. So the whole time Giselle thought she was going to die after she was Baptised. Poor little thing!
Hope you all had a great weekend minus the crappy weather!
