We spent some quite time at home this weekend catching up on a few things around the house. Kind of felt good being lazy. We watched TV/movies, I read a couple books on my Kindle, Jake and I made up a batch of chocolate chip cookies and for supper on Saturday, I put together a large casserole dish of scalloped potatoes and ham. Yesterday, we watched the Viking’s game and the 49'ers beat the Packers! Both games were great games to watch. We took Jake to the park before supper last night. We had the whole place to ourselves. Had fun playing “hide-n-go seek” amongst the play ground.
This week we have parent/child conferences with Jake's teacher, Cinda. This conference gives us time to meet her and for Jake to get acquainted with his new classroom and of course, Cinda. We decided on a second year of Preschool due to Jake having an August birthday. He's a really smart boy and probably would have done fine moving onto Kindergarten, but thought it would be best for him to be one of the oldest in his grade than youngest. We've heard from many parents who wished they would have held back their "Jonny" due to him struggling later on in school. And really, who knows Jake more than we do.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
